So, the reason for starting this blog is to have a record of all my handmade cards. I didn’t want to post too many card things to my main blog, as it has the same name as a scrapbooking company. I had no idea about this when Joe helped me with the name for what was my first website many years ago, at that time about crochet, cats, dolls, all things that were important to me. If you know me from that blog (which I assume you do or you wouldn’t be here), you’ll know what I mean. Anyway, I started making cards for Christmas 2006, and sent only handmade cards. They were a lot of fun to make, but certainly would have been cheaper to purchase a box of ready made ones. Now I’m hooked though, and am just as glad to browse scrapbooking stores as I am yarn stores! Some family birthdays are imminent, and I’m looking forward to giving some handmade cards. In the meantime, better late than never (or really early for Christms 2007), here are some of the cards I made for Christmas 2006. Some are bad, some are okay, and some I’m happy with. I think it is important to remember all that I made, so I can learn from both the lousy ones and the nice ones. The first ones I have to show you today are some of my least favourite ones.

The first two are pretty bad, the last two, not quite as awful. I think I did show some improvement in the end. Stay tuned, I have more to share with you in the next day or two, some which I’m happier with than these four, and a couple which I was really quite pleased with.

Real nice cards! My sister is involved Stampin’ It Club in Boston. She invited me to join for two hours stamping gathering last November. I had a GREAT time!!! So much fun making cards!
